Update on COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

UPDATE ON COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS) 15TH MAY

Following the Prime Ministerial statement on Sunday 10th May and subsequent issue of new Government guidance documents, we are pleased to confirm that we will be re-opening the business with effect from Monday 18th May. We will be carrying out a phased re-opening to take account of Government guidance, our own operational considerations and the safety and wellbeing of our customers and staff, which remains our top priority.

Our showroom is open for visits, but currently by appointment only to ensure that we can maintain proper distancing and implement enhanced cleaning of the display units and other fittings between visits. To arrange a showroom visit, please either call us on 01483 233360, e-mail to sales@bjb-windows.co.uk or use the contact page on this website and we will contact you to book a convenient date and time.

Our sales team remains ready to answer your enquiry and we will be resuming visits to properties on request, with proper distancing and other safety measures, in order to provide you with a quotation. We will also be pleased to answer your questions by telephone, e-mail or video call.

For customers who have placed orders with us, we once again thank you for your patience and understanding. It is very much appreciated and in the coming days we will be contacting you to discuss the fulfilment of your order. We are implementing new systems within our office and storage areas with regard to the handling of products and our installers and other staff will be provided with PPE and undergo training on the procedures to be followed when they are working at your property. We ask that you observe the distancing measures when any of our staff are with you and we will speak with you about any specific issues that need to be considered before we attend your property. In the event that you or any member of your household are displaying symptoms of COVID-19 we ask that you please let us know immediately these become known in order that the appropriate actions can be taken.

We look forward to being of service to you and if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Best wishes from all at BJB Windows

UPDATE ON COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS) 22ND APRIL

We thank all of our customers for your patience and understanding and we are working hard behind the scenes to make sure that we are ready to resume work when it is safe and appropriate to do so.

Good wishes from all at BJB Windows

Following the announcement by the Government on 23rd March that non-essential businesses must now close, it is right that we should act in accordance with the instruction and advice given. The health and wellbeing of our staff and customers is of paramount importance to us and we will do everything that we can to help everyone though this situation.

We have therefore closed our installation business for an initial period of three weeks in line with the Government review period and we will await and act upon further guidance when it is issued. We understand that this will be disappointing to some, but we ask that you bear with us during this unprecedented situation.

During the operational closure period our showroom will also be closed, but we will continue to take telephone calls and receive e-mails, so please do get in touch with any questions or sales enquiries. You can contact us by telephone to 01483 233360, via the contact page on this website or by direct e-mail to sales@bjb-windows.co.uk

We regret that we are unable to meet with you in person during the closure period, but we will be pleased to provide advice and assistance by telephone or e-mail.

We will update this website with any changes and developments as they occur and we look forward to being able to re-open and resume work as soon as circumstances allow.

Please stay safe. All at BJB Windows send our good wishes during this challenging time.

Our Wooden Windows with Aluminium Cladding

Love the look of timber windows but are worried about their longevity?

You might want to consider a popular alternative: wooden windows with aluminium cladding. Timber windows not only look extremely attractive; they don’t detract from the property’s traditional appearance. However, the downside is that these frames are prone to rotting and decay over time.

Cladding is an excellent way to provide extra protection against the weather and minimise the need for maintenance.

An aluminium cladding system offers excellent durability and performance. While the timber provides that traditional look that homeowners love, aluminium casing provides an added layer of protection and finish for severe weather condition.

In other words, aluminium clad windows give you the best of both worlds. The rain can lash at these windows, the snow can pile up, but they’ll remain in fantastic condition.

At BJB Windows we have a style of window to match every property, including wooden windows with aluminium cladding. Whether you need new windows before Christmas or are planning home renovations in 2017, our friendly team can help.

We know that they are good – now we can show it

Installers and surveyorSeptember 2013 saw the award of industry recognised qualifications to the surveyor and all staff installers at B J B Windows, reflecting our commitment to training and development within the business. Our customers can be confident that staff working in their homes are properly trained and will also be fully compliant with the new Minimum Technical Competency Standards for replacement window and door installations to be introduced during 2014. Our picture shows the happy group along with Andy Clegg from the Fenestration College, who we thank for his support and guidance during this development programme. A huge well done to all of our staff who completed these qualifications.

B J B Windows reaches 25 year milestone

17th October 2013 saw B J B Windows celebrate 25 years of continuous trading.

Still based in the village of Normandy, Surrey, where it has been since its formation, the Company now operates throughout Surrey, Hampshire and South West London. Gary Pritchard, Joint Managing Director, comments:

“Our ethos has always been to provide high quality products and service to our customers. The dedication and commitment shown by our staff and supplier partners in support of this objective makes us very proud. The loyalty and support of our customers over the last 25 successful years means a huge amount to us and with further investment and new products planned for 2014 we look forward with confidence to serving our customers for many years to come”

New from B J B Windows – Triple Glazing

B J B Windows can now offer the option of triple glazing across its PVCu and timber window ranges.

Triple glazed units are almost indistinguishable from their double glazed counterparts, but superior in terms of performance by using two panes of low emissivity glass, two warm edge spacer bars and two argon filled cavities. The additional cavity created by having three panes of glass increases sound insulation by over 20% and with three panes of glass the security of the unit against breakage is also improved.
